Web

Web games are played with the use of a web browser and can run either by HTML or by plug-ins. Browser games can be played on different devices, browsers and operating systems, which makes them one of the most portable platforms. These are usually free-to-start: the players have full content right from the start, but may not continue without a payment. However, these games are favored as there's no need to make additional downloads or buy extra software to perform - however, this can be done to improve the game. They were first developed in 1996 when ActionScript language was released.
The most famous and long-living multiplayer is Minecraft, initially available on Mojang's website; in the 2010s it was removed. Another notable game is a one-player arcade Pac-Man. Recent problems include some browser games; for example, the popularity of Flash lessened as not every iPhone supports it.
